If it wasn't written in French, I would claim you're Dutch. Using your bike daily in the cold, yay! Is there also snow over there? Here it is, it's quite challenging on a regular bike, but so far the bike lanes are free from it and I can get to work.
This entry does remind me of our bike ride when you were here, I hope you gained some speed since then, lol.
